A-pizza-perfection
LOCAL EATS
What could be a better crowd-pleaser than
pizza? Whether it’s all about that stretchy,
stone-baked dough and housemade Napoli
sugo, or loaded with Aussie toppings
(just to please the pineapple-lovers),
pizza is pretty incredible. We love pizza. LUSH PIZZA
This one’s our weeknight takeaway pick.
Words: Annabel Bowles Offering two-for-one pizza every Tuesday
(yes, you read that right) plus a stack of
vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options,
Lush Pizza is everybody’s friend.
OUR PICK INFERN0 // napolitana sauce,
mozzarella, salami, chilli, jalapeno peppers,
capsicum, onion

SALT HOUSE
Salt House is loved by locals for many things –
uninterrupted marina views, lively atmosphere,
a lantern-lit bar, and its traditional pizzeria,
of course. Selected large pizzas can also be
taken home for just $10 on Fridays.
OUR PICK FUNGI // mixed wild mushrooms,
rosemary, rocket, goat fetta, truffle oil
GO THERE Marina Point, Cairns City

HOPSCOTCH
Italian food at its best. Mega
stretch, minimal toppings, massive
flavours. Hopscotch also has a nice
wine list and a couple of decadent
dessert pizzas, in case you needed
further convincing.
OUR PICK SONNY BOY // potato,
pork sausage, mushroom, smoked
Hopscotch mozzarella, red onion, fior di latte
