A bunch of exciting new venues have opened
in the tropical north, including share plate +
cocktail-centred bars, weekday lunch haunts
and even a new craft brewery.

After successfully operating the Raw Prawn for 22 years,
owners-operators Tiina and Carlton Horn decided to shake
things up. The Esplanade venue has been transformed into
Little Sister – a restaurant focused on vibrant Asian-style
