Sea Walls
Bentley Park College
Initially REACH, the Education
Queensland Regional Excellence in Arts
and Cultural Hub strategy, contacted
schools about working with Sea Walls
Australia during the festival. We were
excited to be selected to participate.
George Rose’s mural about threatened and
endangered species the humpback
grouper, brindle bass and whiptail
stingray, gives us a starting point for
valuable conversations with the students
and Bentley Park College community. e
bonus was students interacting with an
artist, being inspired by her career journey
and watching the art work develop.

Anglicare
e Cairns Homelessness Services Hub (AnglicareNQ) welcomed Sea Walls artist
Fuzeillear (Claire Matthews) to the building in April. Claire has captured a very real
environmental issue and produced a wonderful representation of the current local and
global sustainability issues on a huge scale which can be viewed from the Homeless
Hub’s alleyway at 149 Bunda St. e artwork represents issues impacting on our
precious environment on a daily basis. Anglicare shares this broad approach and drive
in highlighting the need to raise awareness while providing assistance to vulnerable
members of the Cairns community. Claire’s art has stimulated many conversations
and has clearly highlighted Environmental and Social Sustainability as a leading hot
topic within the community.

Cairns Corporate Tower
e Cairns Corporate Tower was
delighted to be able to support the Sea
Walls Australia Festival.
It is important to us to be able to
support the community in which we
operate – for us this is not just about
commercial outcomes, it is also about
how we can positively impact broader
social and environmental matters also.
We saw a consistency of values with the
Sea Walls Australia Festival, the artists,
its participants and other sponsors and
are very pleased to have been involved.
