Fighting spirit
John has played a major role in the
progression of martial arts and combat sports
in Cairns. A few years back, the former Muay
Thai athlete created a gym within his previous
workshop on Brown Street, which welcomed GORGE
any fighter from any discipline
to train for a gold coin donation.
Today, in conjunction with Explosive Fight
Promotions, he funds an all-expenses-paid
scholarship for talented athletes to travel to
Thailand to further hone their craft.
The future
With the worlds of technology and glass colliding, John
sees glass becoming integrated in many aspects of
everyone’s daily lives, well beyond the standard window
fixtures and doors. With long standing international
connections and relationships, John is at the forefront
of discovering the applications that glass is being used
for by technology innovators and is excited about the
prospects for his industry.
