A new film location guide
showcases the Far North’s
picturesque potential.

Cairns Regional Council is making it
even easier for movie-makers to scout
locations ahead of the opening of a
state-of-the-art film and TV studio
complex in the city mid-year.
While Far North Queensland is already
renowned for its stunning on-screen
locations, the guide features everything
from red outback spots, to reef, 1
rainforest, industrial and city locations.
A collaboration between Council and
Screen Queensland, the 250-page digital
guide aims to attract screen productions
to the region.
