Inspiring the future
Martika said she wants to see even more Indigenous
teachers in schools and wants to encourage more students
to study Education. She was recently invited to speak at
JCU’s Indigenous Education and Research Centre’s (IERC)
Winter School, a program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander students in Years 10, 11 and 12 which provides the
opportunity for them to experience university life during the
school holidays.
