TROPIC • PHOTO ESSAY
3 This photo makes me laugh. I
think a lot people at the start of
this craziness didn’t necessarily
understand the severity of the
situation and somewhat put
it to the side and tried not to
worry about it. Ignorance is
bliss, I guess. However, instead
of fighting what was happening
around us, my girlfriend and I
began to embrace this new, weird
way of life and made the most of
our time at home.
It still makes me laugh that 4
bottle shops are considered
an essential service. However,
it was good to see that some
businesses were still pushing
through against the odds
during this tough time.
5 At the beginning of the
pandemic, I also began to
notice the amount of rubbish
left around the place. It seemed
as though some people‘s only
priority in the moment was
keeping themselves safe, in
turn... leaving others to clean
up after them.
