streets to respond to the
COVID-19 lockdown.

1 Sitting in public transport on the
way to work had a completely
different feel to it. Buses once
filled with people were now empty.
Commutes soon became very
lonely as everyone began to seek the
comfort and ‘safety’ of their own
homes over the office.

2 Seeing these messages posted on billboards

made the pandemic seem all that more
real. It kind of freaked me out that a virus
that formed thousands and thousands of
kilometres across the world had now made
its way to my home town.
