Arthur Boyd: Landscape of the Soul
A Bundanon Trust Touring Exhibition
3 April – 21 June
Landscape of the Soul provides a rare opportunity for
audiences to experience a lifetime of painting the landscape,
both seen and imagined, by one of Australia’s most important
twentieth century artists.
Bookended by Boyd’s youthful paintings of the Mornington
Peninsula in Victoria in the 1930s, and the final phase of his
career depicting the Shoalhaven area in southern New South
Wales in the mid-1970s, this fascinating exhibition includes
major works that not only depict the topographic landscape,
but also the imagined landscapes that Boyd carried within
himself.
