Changing lives
As one of the first women to practice family law in Far North
Queensland, Cairns local Bev Reaston has witnessed the way the Court
has adapted to the needs of modern families since the Family Law Act
was introduced in 1975. Her reflections in Silence! All Stand, along with
photos and memories from key members of the Family Court over the
past 40 years, makes this history an engaging and informative read.
The memoir is co-written with Claire Levi.

Turning the tide
Ever been tempted to sail off into the sunset and start afresh?
Cairns local Regina Petra Meyer did exactly that in her mid-30s when
she booked a one-way ticket to the Caribbean and joined a small racing
yacht crew in an attempt to make sense of her floundering relationship
at home. Her debut book, Change of Course, is a memoir imbued with
travel, adventure, romance and controversy.
