CACAO OVER COFFEE
Perhaps the best alternative to coffee,
cacao is rich in theobromine – a gentle,
long-lasting stimulant that doesn’t
come with caffeine-induced jitters. WHAT’S HOT
It also contains more antioxidants than
green tea! The recently-launched Soma
Cacao, based in Wongaling Beach,
sells cacao grown and ground in the
Tropical North. Find them at the
Mission Beach Markets, where they also
sell the drink by the cup!

BUSHCRAFT CAMP
Learn how to start a fire with only sticks, weave hats
out of coconut fronds and make a rope with the land’s
own resources. Hartigan Bushcraft has recently
started running workshops and camping trips at the
picturesque Emerald Creek, where you can learn some
valuable survival skills and spend time reconnecting
to nature. A bunch of woven baskets and woodwork
pieces are also up for sale!
