EDITOR’S
LETTER
THE NEW ABNORMAL
By the time you read this, our news
website TropicNow.com.au will have
ticked over 1 million page views since the
start of the year.
It’s quite a leap from the goal we set
ourselves at the end of 2019, in what now
feels like a parallel universe.
Back then, as we looked ahead to the
new year, our small team set a target of
reaching 1 million page views by the end
of 2020.
Here we are, just five months in, and
we’ve hit that target seven months ahead
of schedule.
With insane traffic that melted our
server due to our coverage of the
coronavirus pandemic and other big
local news scoops, TropicNow.com.au
has become a focal point of sensible
reporting for our community.
We’re proud of our achievements and
