Tanks Arts Centre is starting off
the New Year with some exciting
Australian musicians.
Words: Alina Polishuk
Tanks Art Centre does a stellar job promoting
all things cultural in our fair city year-round.
The modest size of the music venue in Tank
5 (650 standing!) allows for unparalleled
intimacy, excellent acoustics, and a close-up
look at some of the country’s most exciting
performers. Tanks offers serious diversity in
acts, too; so whether you’re after a head-
banging deathcore metal show or an acoustic
evening that requires only gentle-swaying,
there’s sure to be something on offer any
given weekend. Here are a few shows kicking
off the 2020 season that we’re particularly
psyched about.

vinyl double LP that features original
artwork) to life with an expanded musical
Northlane lineup that includes extra horns, extra

band, Gravemind. “4D” also offers a sweet opportunity for up-
and-coming local groups to get some stage time, which triple J The Black Sorrows

The Australian bluesy rock band
will stop at Tanks on their “Lover I
