Exclusive to the Cairns Art Gallery is a
stunning exhibition of new works about
Far North Queensland by internationally
acclaimed artist, Patricia Piccinini. Since
opening in August, the exhibition is
attracting record audiences at the Gallery.
Life Clings Closest includes a body of
extraordinary new works created in
response to a residency that she undertook
in Cairns late last year. Together her
engineered hyper real sculptured creatures
raise fundamental questions about climate
change and its effects on marine and
land-based animals and plants that abound
in our region.
