CITY LIGHTS
The City Lights program engages local and national artists
to create large scale projection and multimedia installations.
Since 2015 the Cairns City Library has been transformed with
MIX TAPE large scale projections, this year for the first time the City Lights
EVERY NIGHT OF FESTIVAL program will expand beyond the library to feature projections
CAIRNS CITY LIBRARY and installations across the city. The City Lights program speaks
7PM - 11PM to the culture, history and lifestyle of Tropical North Queensland,
transforming spaces into outdoor galleries of pictures, sound and light.
Mix Tape has been developed collaboratively
between AGB Events and artist Vanghoua Anthony
Vue. The digital artwork re-interprets Vue’s ‘tape-
affitis’, tape-based installations.
