The Daintree ferry now has an online booking service, a new e-commerce platform to expedite ticket purchasing for locals and visitors.
The Entrada Travel Group, one of Australia’s largest tourism and transport companies, launched the new service this week.
Single, return, and multi-trip tickets are available directly from the official Daintree Ferry website, allowing passengers to pre-plan travel and tickets before arriving at the departure point.

Online tickets contain a QR code which can be scanned from a mobile phone for paperless access to the ferry.
Tickets will still be available for purchase at the riverside booking booth or onboard the ferry. There are no changes to resident or concession cards.
TNQ Operations General Manager, Genevieve Wardleworth, said the new booking platform will make it easier to use the ferry.
“We are excited to roll out this new ticketing platform and further advance the efficiency of the service offered by the Daintree ferry.

“With, these innovations in online ticketing, we are confident visitors to the region will benefit from the more convenient way to purchase ferry travel.”
The new online system will gradually replace paper tickets, but customers will still be able to redeem any existing paper tickets.
The Daintree ferry provides vehicle access across the Daintree River, connecting the Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation with the rest of Far North Queensland.
A ferry service has operated across the river since at least 1958. It’s now owned by Douglas Shire Council and operated by TNQ Transport Services, part of Entrada Travel Group.
