A 39-year-old has become the third man to die on Far North Queensland roads in one day.
Police say the man from Diwan in the Daintree was found deceased at the scene of a crash on Cape Tribulation Road around 10pm last night.
A car had hit a road sign.
His death follows that of a 67-year-old man on the Kuranda Range yesterday afternoon.
The Kuranda resident was in a ute which collided with a waste disposal truck just before 1pm.

The truck driver, a 48-year-old from Mount Sheridan, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Police say investigations are continuing.
The crash closed the thoroughfare for around seven hours.
Only hours earlier, an 82-year-old Atherton man died when his Holden Colorado ute hit a Citroen hatch at the intersection of Knowles Road and Malanda Atherton Road on the Tablelands.
The driver of the Citroen, a 74-year-old woman, also sustained serious injuries and is in a stable condition in Atherton Hospital.
Forensic Crash investigators are appealing for any witnesses, particularly those with dashcam footage to come forward.
