Tropic's put together a list of pet-friendly cafes and restaurants across Cairns, Gordonvale, the Northern Beaches and Port Douglas. 

Some also offer puppy menus, biscuits, treats, and of course, puppuccinos!

Guyala Cafe

By the Esplanade's northern end, Guyala Cafe is the perfect pit stop for your pooch after a long walk! 

You can also ask the chef for some freshly fried bacon. Mm-hmm.

Crave Cairns

Your furry friend will be treated like royalty (and rightly so) at Crave with their very own puppy menu! 

Choose between the 'neighbours chicken', 'nice to meat you', or even a veggie option.

Muddy's Cafe

Another favourite along the Esplanade, Muddy's is the perfect place for your pup to hang out.

There's plenty of lawn to roll around on and other dogs to play with.

Wharf One Cafe

We hear Wharf One often has free treats for your hound on the counter! 

The cafe's seaside location is perfect for pooches that love to be social.

Blu Marlin Bistro

Another great option for pups that like to get alllll the pats from passersby. 

Blu Marlin is in a busy spot at the reef fleet terminal, so make sure your dog is up for a tailwag.

Brother Jenkins

The cafe's leafy patio and chilled atmosphere is a great place to hang for humans and hounds alike.  

Brother Jenkins is also opposite the Martyn St Sports Park, so bring a ball or frisbee for a play afterwards!

Puppuccinos all round at NOA! 

This Edge Hill eatery has a large outdoor dining area, but it's very popular so get in early.

Ozmosis

BYO puppers is not only allowed, but encouraged at Ozmosis.

Another popular Collins Ave cafe, you'll find lots of Edge Hill locals (and their hounds) out and about on the weekend.

High Tide Coffee

Just a stick's throw from Irene St Dog Park, High Tide is the perfect pick-me-up after a run around.

The cafe also does puppuccinos!

Trolley Coffee Gordonvale

This southside cafe loves its furry customers so much it has a whole Instagram dedicated to them! 

Head to @dogs_of_trolley for all the happy faces.

The Palms

Just up the road from the leash-free Touch Park, the Aeroglen store loves pups just as much as plants! 

Plenty of cuddles come complimentary with a coffee from The Palms.

Mayhem at Machans

Unlike its name suggests, this Machans Beach Cafe is super cruisy –  for pups and people both!

If your dog likes to strike a pose, snap a photo of them in front of the cafe's angel wings mural.

Two Blocks Cafe

One of our favourite brunch spots, both you and your pooch will be treated like royalty at Two Blocks. 

It's worth heading to the quiet suburb's dog-friendly esplanade afterwards, which has a couple of leash-free areas!

Hidden @ Yorkeys 

One of the most fur-friendly cafes around, the staff at Hidden @ Yorkeys may just love your pooch more than you do. 

There's also a leash-free area on the beach not far from the cafe.

This Yorkeys Knob cafe and bar offers treats for pooches and people alike.  

Choose between puppy cereal, a pup cake, bacon risotto, or go all out with a meat bowl. Yum!

Bacon and puppuccinos coming up for your pup at Eat St! 

There's another Eat St Cafe in Edge Hill, and both are paw-sitively dog-friendly.

Nu Nu Restaurant 

Fine dining and pet-friendly service goes hand in hand at Palm Cove's Nu Nu. 

As the restaurant stretches onto the beachside lawn, there's plenty of space for your dog to spread their paws.

Palm Cove Tavern

This pub loves its visiting pups so much, you might find a sign out the front saying so! 

Of course, Palm Cove Tavern doesn't skip out on the doggy menu – macaroni and 'muttballs' is our pick of the pack.

Vivo Palm Cove

Another great Palm Cove pit stop after a walk along the esplanade!

Vivo's dining area spills out onto a shady patio, with plenty of room for puppers.

With a huge stretch of sand to run around on, Ellis Beach is begging for a visit from your dog! 

Make sure you stop into the bar + grill too – they'd love to say hi to your furry friend.

St Crispins

We hear St Crispins has puppuccinos and a secret stash of biscuits in store for good boys! 

The Port Douglas eatery is proudly dog-friendly, with panoramic lakeside views for you to kick back and take in.

Grant Street Kitchen

Would your dog like to tuck into a big meat pie? Of course they would!

Grant Street Kitchen has some of the best in town, and they love having furry friends visit.

Another proud dog-friendly venue in Port, Choo Chooos would love to welcome your pup!
