Spacious patch of paradise at Avalon in Goldsborough Valley

Homeowners are seeking more space and freedom to enjoy their dream lifestyle, but there are fewer options in Cairns to find it.

That’s the premise behind the launch of Avalon at Goldsborough Valley, a new development featuring acreage properties at affordable prices.

Located in beautiful natural surrounds just south of Cairns, the first stage of Avalon includes 32 lots, all of which are over 4000 sq/m.

With up to $45,000 of government incentives available for eligible purchasers, Avalon is already proving popular just days after it was launched in September.

Importantly, one of the Far North’s longest established and most respected developers is behind it.

Avalon is the latest project by the team behind Botanica Lifestyle Resort and Redlynch Valley Estate, considered to be a benchmark in residential development in the Tropical North.

Botanica is an over-50’s gated community with all of the amenities of a five-star resort while still allowing residents to live in their own free-standing homes and downsize the maintenance associated with a big block of land. Botanica has sold out Stages 1 and 2 and is releasing Stage 3 well ahead of schedule due to high demand.

With a family history in Cairns that stretches back generations, Edward Earl told Tropic Now the development team was excited that Avalon was accessible to a range of buyers, including those investing in their first home.

In the first week of its launch, the Avalon team welcomed more than 30 inspections with several lots already under offer.

“We have noticed an increasing demand from North Queenslanders for more space and freedom however there is very little acreage available in Cairns,” he said.

“Avalon is in the perfect position to fill that gap with all of our lots being over 4000sqm with a large flat building pad and water and power to front of the blocks”.

The site is situated in what many consider one of the most beautiful places in the Far North with its spectacular northerly aspect and beautiful summer breezes. Avalon also fronts the Mulgrave River with direct private access to the famous Ross and Locke Reserve.

“Everyone has loved the location and the views,” Edward Earl said, “so it appears that Stage 1 of Avalon will sell out very quickly. We have also been able to keep the starting price under $200,000.”

Mr Earl said the first stage of 32 lots is currently under construction with expected completion by December.

Avalon has been designed to seamlessly integrate with the existing natural landscape, with hundreds of additional native trees to be planted just as the team did at Redlynch Valley Estate.

The tranquillity and safety aspects of Avalon have so far proven popular with families.

“Avalon is an enclave surrounded by a river and bush land with its own exclusive entry and no through traffic making it a great place for children,” he said.

“There have also been quite a few sales to southern buyers for acreage lots sight unseen in Cairns recently with many people considering making a change from the big cities to smaller, warmer locations where they can get value for money and feel safe.”
