Cairns Taipans team up with Tropic Magazine for special edition
The CQUniversity Cairns Taipans prepare to enter their 20th anniversary when the NBL season officially begins tomorrow, and to celebrate the club has collaborated with TropicNow for a special edition of their popular magazine.
The October-November edition features a dedicated glossy Taipans section, with content and stories that reflect on the past, present and future for the Orange Army, old and new.
“We’re really proud of this collaboration, and it’s just one of the many ways we’ll be recognising and celebrating 20 years of the Cairns Taipans this season,” said longstanding Taipans CEO, Mark Beecroft.
“We’ve really enjoyed working with the group at Tropic, and appreciate the opportunity to produce high quality print media that is tangible for fans to hold onto.
“I’d also like to thank all of our partners that contributed to the edition and hope they are as pleased as we are, with the final result.”
Tropic Group Managing Director and Editor Gavin King said that aligning with the only national sporting team of Cairns would have positive impacts for the growing TropicNow readership and magazine circulation throughout the Far North region.
“We’ve been really impressed with the corporate support, and all the local business that wanted to advertise and be aligned with this collectable edition.
“It’s the biggest issue our team at TropicNow has ever produced, and as a result will see an increase in our distribution and we certainly anticipate a growth in readership. It shows how much the Taipans can bring the community together, and we look forward to working together more in the future.”
Tropic Magazine is available at local cafes, shopping centres, retailers and other outlets everywhere, while Taipans fans and members will be able to get their hands on their own free copy at the Taipans’ first home game on Sunday 21 October at the Cairns Convention Centre.
